Young Dancers

Little Leapers— Ages 2-3

This thirty-minute class is the perfect length for the attention span of 2 to 3 year-olds. It serves as a pre-ballet and pre-tap class and introduces them to dance in a fun atmosphere. Students must be potty-trained to enroll in a pre-school class.

Pre-K + Combo
Darlin’ Dancers —Ages 3-4

This forty-five minute class combines basic techniques and various dance combinations to increase memory and discipline. Beginning tap is introduced. Students must be potty-trained to enroll in a pre-school class.

Sassy Steppers — Ages 4-5

This forty-five minute class combines basic techniques and various dance combinations to increase memory and discipline. Beginning tap is introduced. Students must be potty-trained to enroll in a pre-school class.

Ballet/Tap Combo Level 1 — Ages 5-6

This hour-long class increases the skills learned above by using more complex movements and techniques. This class includes barre work, center work, and across the floor combinations.  This class has two recital dances with two different costumes.

Ballet

Level I–V: 5 years-old and up

Ballet is our studio’s foundation and the foundation for all other forms of dance. These classes enhance coordination and grace and require much discipline and focus. Ballet strengthens the body and instills self-confidence.

Teen Ballet

Beginning ballet technique class for the older dancer ages 11-18 interested in just starting ballet or returning to dance.

Tap

Level I–V: 5 years old and up

Tap is the musical instrument of dance. In this forty-five minute class, dancers learn to make music with their feet and in turn, enhance their rhythm, musicality and dynamics. Tap is highly recommended for all students who wish to pursue their dancing extensively or for anyone who wants to have some fun!

Jazz

Level I–V: 5 years old and up

Jazz, while using ballet technique for its base, branches out into more creative, powerful and energetic movement through stength and expression. Jazz offers a wide arrange of movement styles.

Teen Jazz

Beginning jazz technique class for the older dancer ages 11-18 interested in just starting or returning to dance.

Pointe

Please note: Pointe classes are teacher-invitation-only. To enroll in Pointe classes, dancers must enroll in two additional Ballet classes a week.

Pre-pointe: 10 years old and up

Dancer must be a level II Ballet dancer prior to enrollment. Dancers wear regular ballet shoes and focus on strength and technique training.
Pointe I: 10-year-olds and up

Focuses on the further development of ballet technique and ankle strength. Dancers will work towards the strength and technique required for basic pointe work and will begin in ballet slippers and move to pointe shoes.
Pointe II: 10-year-olds and up

Dancer will be recommended for pointe work and fitted for pointe shoes at the teacher’s discretion.

Modern

Level I–IV: 8-years old and up

Modern dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Modern dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

Please note: You must be enrolled in a Ballet class to take these classes. Enrollment in Modern and Leaps & Turns is by invitation only.

Teen Modern

Beginning Modern technique class for the older dancer ages 11-18 interested in just starting or returning to dance.

Hip-Hop

Level I–V: 5-years old and up

Hip hop dance refers to dance styles, mainly street dance styles, primarily danced to hip hop music, or that have evolved as a part of the hip hop culture.

Leaps & Turns

Level I–IV: 8-years old and up

This is a technique class designed to assist students in focusing on the leaps, jumps and turns that dancers perform in Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop. This specialized class is a way to better your technique when executing basic leaps, center leaps, turns, and fouetté.

Please note: Enrollment in Leaps & Turns classes are by invitation only.

Drill Team Prep

Junior High & High School Students

This class will help prepare students who are interested in auditioning for their high school drill/dance teams. Skills taught will be dance technique including Jazz and Ballet, Kickline practice, adapting to changing choreography and mock auditions.

Dudes That Dance

A Hip Hop class for boys ages 5-10. Hip Hop technique will be taught along with breakdancing.
